New Life Community Church
New Life Community Church, a congregation of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, confesses one triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It holds the Old and New Testaments to be God's written revelation and salvation to be available to all people, and it teaches baptism in the Holy Spirit to 'receive power from God' to be his witness in speech and action. It points to the PAOC's Statement of Essential Truths as the full version of what it believes.
New Life Community Church is on Goreway Drive and belongs to the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada; the PAOC’s Western Ontario District records it as established in 2005. Its lead pastor is Darryl Price.
The church describes itself as ‘followers of Christ, reaching all people and building community’, and sums up its life in three words: connect, grow and serve. One service is held each Sunday, at 10:30 in the morning, and it can also be watched online.
What to expect
New Life calls itself a 'come as you are' church: some people dress casually and others in their Sunday best. The service lasts about an hour and a half, with worship led by a rotating team of musicians and vocalists and Bible teaching that aims to be engaging, understandable and applicable. Children from infancy to Grade 5 have their own classes; they are checked in at the kids' check-in desk before the service and go to class after the announcements.
