Bramalea Alliance Church
Bramalea Alliance belongs to the Christian and Missionary Alliance, whose fourfold Gospel presents Jesus as Saviour, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King. Its statement of faith holds that the Bible is inerrant as originally given; that each believer should be thoroughly sanctified through being filled with the Holy Spirit, which it calls both a distinct event and a progressive experience; that healing of the body is provided for in Christ's redemptive work; and that his second coming is imminent, personal and visible.
Bramalea Alliance Church is on Central Park Drive and belongs to the Central District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada. It describes itself as a multi-generational family and sums up its aims in three words: knowing God and his Word, growing followers of Jesus, and showing Christ’s love in word and action.
From September to May there are two services on Sunday morning, at nine and at a quarter to eleven, in the auditorium on the upper level; in summer there is a single service at ten. Worship blends contemporary songs and hymns, and the lead pastor is the main preacher. The church also holds a Sunday-evening service in Urdu, at half past five.
What to expect
Visitors enter through the south double doors off the parking lot and are directed to the upper-level auditorium, and newcomers can leave a Connections Card at the Connection Desk. There is no dress code. The 60 to 75 minute service has announcements, a blended mix of contemporary worship songs and hymns, prayer and a 25 to 30 minute message; Communion is served once a month, and guests are under no obligation to give. Kids' and youth programs run during the service, and coffee, tea and snacks follow in the Welcome Hall.
