## What they believe
Hope City Church calls the Bible the foundation of what it believes and how it lives, and adheres to the Ministers Network Canada statement of faith. That statement confesses the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and salvation by grace through faith in Christ, and it teaches a baptism of the Holy Spirit 'normatively accompanied by the prayer language of tongues'. The church gives its mission as 'to experience God, equip believers and serve those around us'.

## What to expect
Each Sunday service lasts about an hour and a half, with contemporary music and practical teaching, and hosts greet visitors when they arrive. The church lists what visitors will see during a service as singing, clapping, lifting hands, dancing and speaking in tongues, each with a Bible reference. Hope Kids holds classes for children aged 1 to 10 during both services.

## About this congregation
Hope City Church on Bramalea Road joins two Brampton congregations. Bramalea Christian Fellowship was launched in 1980 by Peter and Vera Morgan at John Knox Christian School and completed its first building in 1984. Brampton Christian Family Church grew from a home Bible study begun in 1981 by Harvey and Margaret Kiteley, and was established as a congregation in 1984, meeting in the library of a local school.

Pastors Randy and Jill Neilson, who succeeded the Morgans at Bramalea Christian Fellowship in 2005, and Pastor Susan Kiteley, who led Brampton Christian Family Church from 1989, now lead the united congregation. It dedicated its new building on 15 September 2024, and it also runs a 90-unit affordable housing initiative, Hope City Residences.

Two services are held each Sunday, at 9:00 and 11:15 in the morning, and the church invites people who cannot attend to join online.
